Isiolo Hotels
Overview,
There are several hotels
in Isiolo. All the hotels in Isiolo fall under budget
category. The best place to stay within town is Bomen Hotel.
The Bomen Hotel has a quite location. The upper rooms offering
good views of Samburu Hills.
Other hotels within town
are Mocharo Lodge and Transit Hotel.
The rangeland hotel is
located on the Nanyuki or Meru Isiolo Road 2 Kilometres from Isiolo.
The Rangeland has very beautiful grounds ideal for family relaxation
with music from the loud speakers spread in the grounds. The music
may sometimes be loud but have heart. The Barbecue (Nyama
Choma), is first class in terms of quality, measure and taste. They
staff are friendly and they have a campsite.
The Gaddissa Hotel is a
hide away from the town. It has a good bar and a swimming
pool. The rooms are clean with hot shower. Rooms are
either twin or double.
Getting to Isiolo
/Flights to Isiolo
Currently Isiolo is not served by scheduled air services. However
having an airstrip, one can easily hire a shuttle plane to land at
Isiolo.
Driving To Isiolo
There are two options of
getting to Isiolo by Road. You can use Public transport from
Nairobi to Isiolo (380Km). An alternative is to hire a car
from Nairobi to Isiolo. Isiolo is the end of tarmac and hance
if you intend to drive to the northern rangelands, use a 4 WD
