Day 1 Nairobi - Tree Hotel
Leave in the morning to reach the small town of Nyeri for a sumptuous
lunch before leaving for the tree hotel of your choice (Treetops, the
Ark or Mountain Lodge), in the early afternoon. The night is spent in
your comfortable perch above the floodlit waterhole and saltlick where,
night-long, a procession of animals come to drink.
Day 2 Tree Hotel - Samburu
After breakfast proceed further north entering the warm and drier areas
of semi desert stretching to Kenya's boundary with Somalia, Ethiopia and
Sudan. The Samburu National Reserve has all the big five and the Uaso
Nyrio river which flows through the game reserves, is infested with
crocodiles. Lunch is taken at the lodge and the afternoon is spent
exploring the park. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge FB
Samburu National
Reserve is famous of its unique wildlife like Vulturine Guinea Fowl, Reticulated
Giraffe, Gerenuk and Grevy's Zebra, all to be found north of the Equator.
Day 3 Samburu - Mount Kenya Safari Club
A morning game drive in this wild but splendid reserve. Continue to the
luxurious Mount Kenya Safari Club whose immaculately manicured gardens
nestle on the forested slopes of the mountain. The afternoon is free to
enjoy and numerous optional facilities of the club which include
horseback riding, tennis, golf, swimming or just relaxing in the comfort
and beauty of your surroundings. Dinner and overnight at the Mt.
Kenya Safari Club.
Day 4 Mount Kenya - Nairobi
Another relaxing and restful morning, return to Nairobi arriving in time
for lunch.
