Samburu, Buffalo

reserves

famous for
their
rare
species
like
the
Gerenuk,
the
Somali ostrich, the reticulated giraffe.
In
the vicinity
are
the
Samburu
and
the Boran tribesmen
with
their unique cultures.

1
Upon
arrival at Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel
. Thereafter you will be briefed on your tour. Dinner and
overnight Nairobi Serena Hotel BB
DAY
2 Nairobi-Treetops/The Ark
After
breakfast drive to Treetops. This drive takes you via the lush green
well tended Kikuyu farmlands to Outspan Hotel/ Aberdare Country Club in
Nyeri for Treetops or the Ark respectively. On arrival check in at
either of the hotel. Lunch is followed by a transfer to the Ark or
Treetops for overningt game viewing in the flootlit water holes.

DAY
3 Nyeri-Samburu/ Buffalo Springs
After
breakfast, drive back to the base hotels. Check out and drive to
Samburu Game Reserve arriving for a late lunch. The two reserves
of Buffalo Springs &Samburu are famous because this is where the
Northern dwellers and the Southern dwelling species can be viewed
together. Herds of Grevy's and Burchell's zebra can be viewed. You
are also likely to spot the rare species in this park like the gerenuk,
the Somali Ostrich, Reticulated giraffe. Dinner and Overnight
Samburu Serena Lodge FB.

4/5 Samburu/ Buffalo Springs
Spend
these two days in this sprawling reserve with game drives. An
afternoon canoe ride in the river Ewaso Ngiro reveals many species on
the river banks as they cool off the heat of the day. All meals at

6
After
breakfast, drive back to Nairobi with lunch at the famous Mt Kenya
Safari Club Overnight Nairobi Serena Hotel BB
DAY
7
Spend
the day on a city tour. Visit the National Museum, the City
Market, Nature trail. The city tour culminates in the lunch at the
Carnivore Restaurant, an attraction in itself. In the evening transfer
to the airport for home flight.
